Ort SA celebrates Mandela Day

HOUGHTON ESTATE – ORT SA celebrates Nelson Mandela International Day with a remarkable occasion filled with laughter and happiness.

Ort SA joined the rest of South Africans and communities across the world on 18 July to celebrate Nelson Mandela International Day.

There were loads of fun activities, laughs, hugs and activities when Atos SA celebrated the day at ORT SA. The initial plan was to donate and make the learners lunch, however, it ended up being a morning filled with much more.

Marcelle Ravid, marketing and communications manager from Ort SA said, “Atos SA would like to thank Ort SA for allowing them to be part of Tata’s special day. My highlight of the day would be the vibe, it was beautiful – just the way Mandela wanted it to be – male and female, from different cultures, backgrounds and nationalities all united.”

The 60 Grade 6 and 7 learners from four Alexandra primary schools and Bramley Primary School who participated in the Ort SA Coding Clubs found new connections through games, art activities, songs and dance. “We had a wonderful day with you, making new friends and building relationships with other people. Celebrating Madiba in this way was awesome,” said some of the children.
