This month, we highlight and celebrate phenomenal women and what better way to do this than by exuding positive vibes in the air while allowing women spaces to breath and exist? In the meantime, let’s have fun at these events and kick off Women’s Month in style.

2 August: Life Four Rent
Set in one apartment, Life Four Rent, tells the stories of four women dealing with the struggles of life. P.O.P Art will come alive on 1 August as the series of monologues will captivate the audience taking them on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. The production stars Christine van Hees, Noluvuyo Mtshotshisa, Campbell Jessica Meas and Monique Rockliffe. Tickets are available for R140 at the door.
3 August: Red Bull Dance Your Style finals
The Newtown Music Factory will play host to the finals of the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition. South Africa is set to bear witness, as more than 16 talented street dancers, from across the country, battle for an opportunity to represent Mzansi in Paris. Tickets are available via Howler for R50.
3 August: Cocktail Masterclass
Nothing beats a nicely whipped cocktail! Check out the Cocktail Masterclass on 3 August at The Little Fox Cocktail bar and brush up on your mixology skills. Every month The Little Fox presents an opportunity to master one cocktail with renowned bartender Gareth Wainwright and his team at each session costs R250 and includes three of the cocktails focused upon on the night.
4 August: Walking tour of Newtown
Discover everything that’s hip and happening in Newtown at Walking tour of Newtown on 4 August.
