Mayor assists in road marking blitz in Region B
JOBURG – The blitz included areas in Hurlingham, Strydom Park and Randburg with roads being repainted and repaired.
As part of a road marking blitz, the City of Johannesburg Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba helped to resurface and remark roads in need of resurfacing paint in Region B, the areas included Hurlingham, Craighall Park in Buckingham Avenue and Grosvenor Avenue, Strydom Park and in Randburg on Republic Road.
Mashaba was joined by MMC for Transport Nonhlanhla Makhuba as they repainted and assisted Johannesburg Road Agency (JRA) workers to repair the road defects in the area.
The Blitz in Region B comes after many streets have been resurfaced and needed to be marked, this will assist motorists as it's not easy driving on unmarked roads #JoburgWorks ^NS pic.twitter.com/PwVm2oqj0j

MMC @NHMakhuba learning some road marking skills from @myjra, its pivotal to know the work public servants go through day to day, this ensures we know their challenges and see what's happening on the ground #JoburgWorks ^NS pic.twitter.com/7WdKlO4kyB

The purpose of the blitz was to also teach public servants on what is happening on the ground. Region B councillors were on the road to make sure things were done right. Ward 90 councillor Martin Williams thanked JRA and the City on road markings today.
