Learners model to raise funds for matric ball

PARKTOWN – Grade 11 learners modelled to raise funds for the matric ball in November.

 


The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ) recently hosted a fashion show fundraiser themed ‘Fresh AF: Absolute Fashion’ in an effort to raise funds for the upcoming matric ball. The events saw about 30 Grade 11 learners model various outfits, raising more than R40 000 for the matric ball on 30 November.

The matric ball committee head Samantha Gibb explained that clothing from the event came from brands who see the marketing value of showcasing their collections on the ramp at DSJ.

Brands included Sies!, Isabelle, Runway 21, Dickies, Black Lotus, Subsahara, Wishes Boutique, Twii, Abrama Suits and Docrat Ladies Fashions.

Gibb said some highlights from the evening were seeing the showstopper dresses from Black Lotus and the Dickies range which included models riding skateboards across the ramp.
