Locals get their Christmas shopping done and donate to charity

PARKVIEW – Event proceeds went to the Nicarela Charity, which in turn donates the funds to worthwhile organisations.

Parkview Charity Christmas Market was an overwhelming success, attracting thousands of community members to browse a range of stalls and get all their Christmas shopping done in one convenient location. The event took place at the George Hay Park in Parkview.

The event raised just over R800 000 for the different beneficiaries of the Nicarela Charity, which brings the total of funds raised and given away to R8.8 million over the last 13 years.

Chairman of Nicarela Charity Graham Hamilton said, “Our team is made up of volunteers, our sponsors are generous with their time and providing of services, and the community are supportive in so many different ways. It is an honour to organise this family event knowing that there will be many that benefit from the money raised.”
