NPA awaits forensic report of Enock Mpianzi

JOBURG – The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) will make a decision after they receive a forensic report on the death of Enock Mpianzi from the Department of Education.


The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said in a statement that they are still waiting for the forensic report into the death of Enock Mpianzi.

Mpianzi died on his first day of Grade 8 at Parktown Boys’ High School on 15 January while on a Grade 8 Orientation Camp at the Nyati Bush and River Break in Brits.

Advocate George Baloyi, the acting director of public prosecutions in North Gauteng, appointed a team of prosecutors to work on the docket, which was handed over to the NPA.

The NPA said once all outstanding issues have been finalised, It will make its decision and will be in a position to announce such a decision in due course. ”

Among outstanding issues is the fact that the NPA is awaiting a copy of the forensic report that was commissioned by the Department of Education.”
