Bontsi Pitsoe has been selected for the Gordon Institute of Business Science Spirit of Youth Leadership Programme.
The Grade 11 Hyde Park High School learner was nominated by the school based on her leadership abilities and insight of youth leadership in South Africa today.
According to the school’s spokesperson Avril Wright, the prestigious programme is recognised by industry and universities as an acknowledgement of a learner’s potential. “The programme is designed to grow the participant’s insight into the dynamics of our country, encouraging creative and far-reaching thought solutions to South Africa’s challenges.”
The purpose of the programme is to give high-impact learners in their penultimate years of schooling a platform to define and voice their vision of South Africa.
Wright added that Bontsi was thrilled about her nomination which was based on the motivational essay she submitted for the pre-selection process.
“She further stated that she is eager for the exposure, self-development and bright opportunities that will be made available to her as a result of being an attendee on the Gordon Institute of Business (Gibs) Spirit of Youth Leadership programme. She was extremely proud to represent the school that has nurtured and expanded her vision and promotes intellectual growth.”
Acting principal Esmè Aling congratulated Bontsi on her selection, wishing her well on her journey of knowledge and insight she will gain from this exciting programme.
