PHOTOS: Fire damages Parkview Junior School’s hall

PARKVIEW – The roof has been destroyed but no injuries have been reported yet.


Parkview Junior School‘s hall caught fire between Monday evening (23 March) and Tuesday morning (24 March).

It is unclear as to what started the fire. The fire damaged the hall and the roof has been destroyed but reports from the scene suggest that there were no injuries sustained.

The Rosebank Killarney Gazette journalist, Sarah Koning was on the scene this morning, 24 March.

Attempts have been made to contact the City of Joburg’s emergency services with no response at this stage.

Gauteng Department of Education’s spokesperson Steve Mabona was also contacted for official comment, he will revert as soon as information is available.
