One arrested in Hillbrow after JMPD officers stop a car used in business break-ins

HILLBROW – Chief of the JMPD David Tembe said that the vehicle was involved in a business break-in where laptops and computers were stolen.


On 5 April, Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) IIOC Reaction Unit officers stopped a driver of a Nissan bakkie in Hillbrow.

Upon inspection of the bakkie, the officers found out that the vehicle was sought in a Bedfordview criminal case.

“The vehicle was involved in a business break-in where laptops and computers were stolen, “said chief of the JMPD, David Tembe in a Twitter post.

The vehicle has been booked at Aeroton VISS and the suspect is being detained at Hillbrow Police Station.
