Norwood police precinct suburbs affected by theft crimes

NORWOOD – Masotsha said these incidents occurred daily within the precinct.

Norwood Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Eric Masotsha has urged residents not to leave their valuables inside their vehicles.

He said, “Police are warning members of the public within Norwood police precinct to be more vigilant as the scourge of theft out of a motor vehicles has risen in their area.”

Masotsha said these incidents occurred daily within the precinct and some of the affected suburbs included Norwood, Houghton, Waverley, Melrose, Linksfield, Victoria, Fairwood and Orange Grove. He encouraged residents to keep working together with their local police officers to root out all criminal activities by reporting to them so that crime incidents could be averted.
