Gratitude for sanitisers donated to Norwood SAPS

NORWOOD – A local cleaning products supplier was only happy to donate towards Covid-19 protection.

Norwood Community Police Forum (CPF) expressed their gratitude to a resident who donated sanitisers for Norwood Police Station to use.

Managing director of Norwood Home Supply, Greg Freund, said he had heard from someone who had gone to Norwood Police Station that there was no sanitiser there. “I went into our storeroom to check and surprisingly found spare bottles of sanitiser which I then decided to donate.”

Freund donated 20 bottles of 500ml hand sanitisers for the station to use.

Norwood Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Eric Masotsha said, “Words cannot begin to express how much we appreciate the donation as indeed it shows there is unity between SAPS and the community members. On behalf of the Norwood SAPS, we feel so honoured to have a working relationship with community members who care and love their police.

“It shows we still have good Samaritans in our society. The empty sanitiser bottles will still be used to take care of our community when they come for service delivery at our police station. We urge our community to continue in the fight against Covid-19 and together we will win against this deadly virus.”
