RMD encourages stakeholders to use the WhatsApp group to share information as the district remains safe

ROSEBANK – Together with heads of securities from the inner city and Sandton, RMD continues to monitor the situation in Rosebank.

While there has been no incident of looting or criminal activity in the Rosebank precinct, especially close to the mall, the Rosebank Management District (RMD) continues to monitor the situation.

This is done to protect stakeholders’ assets and properties. Johannesburg, since July 11, has been a dreadful time for most property owners across the country. The violence, criminality and looting that took place in the province have led to fear and concerns across the spectrum of public law enforcement authorities and in the private sector.

Heads of securities in the Rosebank inner city and Sandton and other law enforcement agencies continue to support each other by sharing information and intelligent support.

According to RMD, stakeholders will be advised if there are any development to shut their operations should the situation spread towards Rosebank.

Stakeholders have been asked to continue using the stakeholders’ WhatsApp group as security heads are dependent on continued information flows from their members.

While security officers remained on high alert with extra personnel in vehicles and on the ground, stakeholders can contact the site manager for Excellerate Services Michael Makaringe who is on the ground and constantly in contact with all needed personnel and communications groupings.
He can be contacted on 065 907 1146.

The use of VumaCam and AI Surveillance have ensured constant contact with RMD and their ethos of coordinated and cooperative methodologies has led to co-produced responses to issues.
RMD said they would continue to give situation reports.
