Matric learners celebrate at moonlit dance
WAVERLEY – The theme for the dance was Clair de Lune, which means moonlight.
The St Mary’s School, Waverley, matric dance took place on March 12.
The theme for the dance was Clair de Lune, which means moonlight, and is a poem written by French poet Paul Verlaine in 1869. It is also the inspiration for the third and most famous movement of Claud Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque 1890.

Head of marketing at St Mary’s Kathy Mittendorf said, “The matric girls could not have asked for a better moonlit evening to dress up and celebrate their last year of school with their peers.”
