Four suspects sought by police

ROSEBANK – A shoot-out ensued between the sought suspects and security officers in Rosebank.

Four suspects are being sought after they fled the scene following a shoot-out between them and security personnel.

The incident took place on the corner of Tyrwhitt Avenue and Baker Street in Rosebank on March 24.

spokesperson Warrant Officer Bongi Mdletshe confirmed that two of the four suspects were armed while driving a white Toyota vehicle. “Information reached the security personnel that the car was suspicious. The security vehicle tried to block it while the suspects attempted to escape. The suspects started shooting through their car window and shoot-out ensued,” said Mdletshe.

He added that no one was injured and no damage was done to either vehicle. The suspects sped off. The spokesperson said the Toyota vehicle used by the suspects was later recovered in Bruma.
