A chance to explore market stalls and participate in yoga
GREENSIDE – To cater for the growing vegan community, a monthly gathering to promote local vendors and yoga enthusiasts is hosted.
A one-hour yoga session will be held at Pirates Sports Club in Greenside and the public is invited.
On behalf of Yoga with Dize, Richard Francis said Yoga with Dize and the Vegan Things Night Market were inviting the public to the one-hour Full Moon Yoga session on April 7 from 18:00 to 19:00. He said the purpose of the yoga event was to raise money to purchase sanitary cups, a much-needed product in South Africa, which would be donated to less fortunate and abused women.
“These sanitary cups are the new ‘it’ product when it comes to menstrual hygiene because they last five years – making them great for the environment and pocket too. They are made from medical grade silicone and contain no chemicals or animal products whatsoever, are super easy to clean, are non-intrusive and easy to remove,” explained Francis.

He added that by attending the yoga event, participants would be helping to solve the problem of millions of women in South Africa struggling to afford sanitary products. Also, it would help the environmental issue of millions of tons of sanitary products that lie in our rubbish dumps each year or end up in our ocean’s rivers and dams. Participants would enjoy the physical and mental benefits that yoga has to offer too.
He said other offerings at the market which would begin at 17:00 would be the vegan food stalls, vegan product stalls, music, wide-open spaces, and fun. “The Vegan Things Night Market is pet friendly and child friendly too, so bring the whole family with and support this incredible ethical market.”
Details: Entrance to the market is free and it’s R150 to participate in the yoga. To book your yoga spot call Richard on 079 283 1272.
