Drakensberg Boys Choir to be magic to the stage

Drakensberg boys choir school to perform at the Mandela at Joburg Theatre.

The Drakensberg Boys Choir is set to return to Joburg Theatre after its last visit in 2018.

Samuel Cunningham, a 13-year-old Parktown North resident and member of the choir is looking forward to performing.

He said he had been at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School for three years and loved the school activities and most importantly, the singing.

The Drakensberg Boys Choir had adapted and utilised new tools to bring its music to audiences online during the pandemic but there was nothing like seeing ‘Drakies’ perform live on a magnificent stage.
They are set to bring their special magic to Johannesburg audiences at The Mandela at Joburg Theatre from June 23 to 24 at 19:00.

“I look forward to performing to the people, singing the songs, and seeing my mom,” Cunningham said.
