The Saxonwold Primary School formally announces new principal

The school governing body of the Saxonwold Primary School commend the new principal for his passion for excellence.

Saxonwold Primary School Governing Body chairperson Mabyalwa Sibandze writes:

Dear staff and parents of Saxonwold Primary School,

The School Governing Body (SGB) embarked on the process of recruiting a new principal for the school in December last year.

The lengthy process culminated in the recommendation of three candidates by the selection committee to the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) for final decision. After months of waiting for the process to be concluded by the GDE, I am happy to report to you that the process has been concluded and we do have a new principal.

Muhammad Khan is the successful candidate and will resume official duty on November 1. We are very fortunate to have Mr Khan in an acting principal position during this time of waiting for the official appointment to commence at the beginning of next month. This means that the transition will be seamless, and we will simply carry on with the exceptional work already going on at the school.

During his period in a departmental head role and acting principal position, Mr Khan demonstrated his leadership capabilities and passion for excellence to all the Saxonwold Primary stakeholders.

As chairperson and on behalf of the SGB, I congratulate him in this milestone and look forward to continuing to work with him to take Saxonwold Primary School to even greater heights.

Please join me in wishing him success in this phase of his career, for the benefit of the school and our learners. This announcement comes with great excitement as it will bring great stability to the school.

Mr Khan will need all of our support to make his leadership of our school as successful as it can be. I will be counting on you Mr Khan and I look forward to a wonderful time of working together.
