Norwood Primary School’s graduation teaches learners to celebrate achievements

Norwood Primary School's graduation theme was love and peace inspired by Michael Jackson's song, Heal the world.

Norwood Primary School celebrated the educational milestones and achievements of their Grade 0 learners.

Speaking on December 8, principal Afrika Hlongwane said the ceremony marked a special moment in the learners’ lives.

“It is the culmination of a journey and the attainment of a goal. This year’s graduation ceremony was indeed a very grand celebration of both academics and social and emotional well-being. An array of feelings surfaced for our little graduates.

“Celebrating milestones and educational achievements helps give our children a sense of pride and accomplishment. It teaches them that change can be a positive experience and so our graduation ceremony is a great way of celebrating this.”

He added the theme for this year’s graduation was love and peace.

“We need to teach our children that the more we cultivate the more joy we gain and spread to the rest of the world which ultimately leads to peace. Norwood Primary is still open for 2023 enrollments please contact admissions on 011 728 7181.”
