Theatre fanatics are encouraged to attend the Michael Jackson HIStory tribute

Since 2012 The Michael Jackson HIStory tribute show has played across countries including: USA, UK, Ireland and Canada.

Kick off your 2024 with the Michael Jackson HIStory tribute concert in the iconic Mandela Theatre at the Joburg Theatre, from January 18 to February 4 for ten performances only at 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with 2pm performances on Sundays.

The musical tribute and full-scale stage production honours the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

The concert celebrates Jackson’s creative genius and unsurpassed talent with live performances evoking his early days as a member of the Jackson 5, his ground-breaking theatrics in the 80’s and his continued domination of Pop culture into the 21st century.

Chief Executive Officer at Joburg City Theatres, Xoliswa Nduneni-Ngema said Michael Jackson was the king of showmanship who created amazing sensory experiences, and that’s what will be recreated on stage.

“We encourage Michael Jackson fans and theatre lovers to celebrate the start of the new year at Joburg Theatre with a night of nostalgia, dance and incredible music.”

Since 2012 The Michael Jackson HIStory tribute show has been staged across USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, Spain, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa to critical acclaim.

Michael Jackson is played by South African performer Garth Field, plus a live band, choreographed dancers, authentic costumes, state-of-the-art sound and theatrical lighting, vision and effects.

The concert can be watched from January 19- February 4 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 20:00 and Sundays 14:00. Ticket Prices range from R180 – R390, they are also available online at www.joburgtheatre.com or www.webtickets.co.za
