Nicarela Charity’s chairperson Daneela Jordaan said the 2024 Parkview Potjiekos competition was a success, and figures suggest that almost 2000 meals were sold and they raised R200 000 more than the previous year.
“This event shows the power of community. We are immensely grateful to the Parkview and surrounding communities who came to support on the day, the contestants who donated so generously, and our many sponsors who donated funds and supplies to the day.”
Jorden said he looked forward to the Parkview Christmas Market, which would be held in November.
