Dance studio brings passion, community and movement to Puntans Hill Sports Club
Master V’s dance studio offers weekly classes enjoyable for everyone regardless of their experience.

There’s a new rhythm pulsing through Puntans Hill Sports Club, and it’s not from a cricket bat — it’s the beat of Master V’s Dance Studio, where movement meets passion and connection.
At the heart of it all is Venesh ‘Mr V’ Ramsammy, a man who left behind the structured world of accounting and IT to embrace the fluidity of dance.

For more than 15 years, Master V taught social dance part-time while navigating a corporate career, but in 2023, he leapt to pursue his passion full-time. “Dance has had a profound impact on my life, and I’ve seen how it transforms my students, not just physically but mentally and socially. That’s what keeps me inspired.” His classes are designed for everyone, whether it’s Latin American, ballroom, sokkie/langarm, salsa, or line dancing. So far, Latin and line dancing have captured the most interest, proving that the love of movement knows no boundaries.
Puntans Hill Sports Club provides the perfect setting for his growing community of dancers. With its polished wooden floors, intimate venues, and a welcoming sports bar for post-class mingling, the space offers more than just lessons, it fosters friendships. The club has embraced dance with open arms, making the transition seamless and exciting.

Master V’s journey has been shaped by incredible experiences, including competing in Blackpool, UK, where he shared the floor with the world’s best. He trained under legendary instructors such as Dave Campbell, Tebogo Kgobokoe, and Sonja Stanford, absorbing the discipline and passion that now define his teaching. Every dance has a story and he ensures his students understand the roots of each style, creating a deeper appreciation beyond just learning steps.
The transformation in his students is what brings him the most joy. He has watched them arrive hesitant and unsure, only to discover confidence, joy, and even improved fitness along the way. More than just a workout, dance becomes an escape, a source of happiness, and a way to truly live in the moment. “Dancing isn’t just exercise — it’s therapy, it’s social, it’s happiness.”
Exciting times lie ahead, with the official opening of Master V’s Dance Studio set for April, where students will showcase their progress alongside professional performances. Monthly social dance nights are also in the works, offering a relaxed space for dancers to refine their skills and simply enjoy the music.
