The expo, created by 3RC founder Kay Cheytanov, aims to inspire and equip young South Africans as they prepare for life beyond high school. With youth unemployment a growing concern, the initiative provides learners direct access to private tertiary institutions offering accredited and globally recognised qualifications.
The learners engaged with representatives from 28 institutions, each presenting their offerings through short videos and one-on-one interactions. These sessions helped learners understand which study paths best matched their interests and skills.

DSJ learner Mark Niederheitmann said, “Today was very helpful. I got a lot of insight on new opportunities for the future, and I’m very excited.” Fellow learner Dasha Semenstova added, “… We’re thankful for this opportunity. The various institutes that came were amazing.”
Now in its 24th year, the Rocking Future Expo visits 240 schools annually and reaches more than 35 000 matric learners by May. Through its in-person and online platforms, it continues to motivate, educate, and empower the next generation.
