Potted sports committee chairperson Lehlogonolo Ramoshaba said the fundraising event was meant to be fun while raising funds for a good cause. “We are celebrating bling day, which is an event organised by the committee, where all classes collect coins over two months and make characters out of them, depending on a selected theme. All the coins are then handed over to charity. This year we are supporting the African Children’s Feeding Scheme (ACFS).”

Lehlogonolo added that the committee visited other charities before choosing one, but connected to ACFS because it has a lot of involvement with teenage girls, adults, and young children. They liked the wide perspective of people it reached out to, because the committee wants to help as many age groups as possible.
