Johannesburg Children’s Home hosts the Vinyl & Vintage x JCH thrift market

Visit the market on October 11 for a day of music, fashion, and giving back, all in support of the Johannesburg Children’s Home.

A beloved local market with a passion for sustainability and good music is taking its pop-up to a heartwarming new location. The Vinyl & Vintage x JCH Thrift Market is set to light up the grounds of the Johannesburg Children’s Home in Observatory on October 11, bringing together thrift lovers, vinyl enthusiasts, and community change makers for a feel-good day out.

Marking two years of Vinyl & Vintage, the event promises a fresh blend of thrifted treasures, vintage gems, handmade pieces, and eco-friendly brands, all while supporting a meaningful cause. With 40 stalls showcasing everything from fashion and records to food and crafts, the market is as much about connection as it is about conscious shopping.

“The idea is to celebrate community, creativity, and sustainability while raising both funds and awareness for the Johannesburg Children’s Home,” organisers said. “It’s a chance for people to shop responsibly, meet local creatives, and make a difference all in one day.”

A small R10 entry donation will go directly towards supporting the children’s home, helping to provide care and opportunities for the kids who call it home.
