Nicky Whyte, principal of Greenside High School from 2017 to 2021, was tragically killed along with her husband and mother in a head-on collision on December 18.

The tragic news was shared on the school’s Facebook page. “It is with deep and overwhelming sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that Ms Nicky Whyte, her husband, and her mother were tragically killed in a head-on collision on December 18, while travelling to Prince Albert for her son’s wedding.”

Whyte served as principal of Greenside High School from 2007 to 2021, and leaves behind a legacy marked by grace, dignity, and an unwavering empathy for those around her. She was said to have touched the lives of countless learners and staff members, and her influence continues to shape the heart of the school community.
