Rand Symphony Orchestra announces this year’s Gala Concert
Tickets are available for the Rand Symphony Gala Concert at Linder Auditorium.
The Rand Symphony Orchestra with the support of The Rupert Music Foundation and under the baton of Carel Henn has announced the Gala Concert for this year at the Linder Auditorium on November 27.
Member of the Rand Symphony Orchestra committee Johan Kohler said, “It’s great to perform again, especially at a venue like the Linder Auditorium. It really challenges the orchestra members to put out their best performance. Financially, it is risky for us to perform there but we expect that we will get a great turnout. People are hungry for live classical music.”

The programme will consist of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations among others.
“This is a beautiful and passionate programme but also very challenging for the orchestra… All the pieces are very popular amongst classical music lovers and this is a rare occasion to hear them performed live.”
