Parktown North Residents Association takes initiative to prune trees
City Park's approves the PNRA to prune trees.
Members of the Parktown North Residents Association took it upon themselves to prune trees in their suburb.
In a public-private initiative on March 28, the association partnered with Brands Tree Felling and Hills Tree Co, with City Park’s approval, to prune trees in the car park and bus terminus of Parktown North.

The work was completed under the watchful eye of City Park’s head gardener, Bongani Kubheka.
City Parks Region B manager, Alton Rankin, thanked the association for their constant assistance.
The chairperson of the association, Lee-Ann Louverdis, thanked City Parks for their part. She said, “Brands Tree Felling and Hills Tree Co readily agreed to give back to the community when we approach them with the project.
We are so very grateful for their assistance. As soon as further funds become available from membership fees, the association will be able to implement the second phase of the project which will focus on nutrition and extended care of the trees.”
