Craighall residents comment on the sudden low price of Prime Hydration drink and the taste

Prime Hydration drinks sells out at Checkers stores.

Rosebank Killarney Gazette went to the streets of Craighall Park to ask residents their opinion about the drink that’s been touted by influencers like Logan Paul and resulted in viral videos of empty shelves and queues reminiscent of Black Fridays of old. Checkers stores acquired the exclusive rights to sell the drink and this is what consumers had to say about the price and the overall taste of the drink.

Gift Mpenda:
Gift Mpenda: I have not bought the drink but my friend said it leaves bad taste in their mouth after drinking it. I think R40 is a reasonable price to buy, unlike the last price.
Eddie Benard
Eddie Benard: I drink hydration drinks every day and PRIME is also good but I am happy with the low price because they were not affordable at first.
Shoneez Smith
Shoneez Smith: It tasted really good but the reason behind the prices I don’t know, because at first it was around R300 and now it’s R40.
Petronella Mokhenzi
Petronella Mokhenzi: I usually don’t drink this type of drinks but it tastes okay for me, even though the change of prices is suspicious.
Buyani Madikazi:
Buyani Madikazi: I drink energy drinks daily and think it is the same thing. But I have never tried it before it only caught my attention when people spoke on prices.
