Greater Rosebank community receives donations

Donations of blankets and warm clothing where handed over to the homeless people in the Greater Rosebank Community.

This year’s winter season has brought on some of the coldest and most inhospitable conditions the homeless and less privileged community members have had to endure.

As has become a tradition in the past couple of years, the African National Congress (ANC) in Ward 117 distributed blankets and warm clothing to the less fortunate which had been donated by the greater Rosebank community. The ANC had a handover ceremony on July 21 at the Parktown North Methodist church.

ANC Ward 117 branch deputy chairperson Joseph Mlangeni said, “This year our donations included blankets and a vast array of warm clothing and we would love to thank all our community members for answering our call and the cries of those who are adversely affected.

“With your constant generosity and support to our community members, community programmes and churches, we would like to say thank you, may your giving hearts continue to touch the lives of our people.”
