Tarryn Alberts and her dancers show off their talent in Houghton
Tarryn Alberts' greatest achievement is So Dope Dance Academy, a dance school for youth in the township she grew up in.

Nedbank’s #UnlockYourX with YouthX campaign hosted dancer and choreographer, Tarryn Alberts and her dancers to show off their talent on October 21 at Glow Studios.
Alberts began her partnership with YouthX when she was nominated as a campaign changemaker.

The choreographer said, ” I partnered with the bank’s initiative because I am passionate about the youth and dance. I have always had an idea to use the art of dancing to connect with young people, and sometimes you cannot do things alone.”
YouthX’s senior brand manager, Mongezi Sokanyile explained the campaign’s aim.

“As a bank, it is our commitment to better the youth, we are trying to drive and ensure that we give the youth an opportunity to make necessary changes we want to see in society. We have been running the campaign for three years and an example of our work is our 2021 winner for YouthX, who developed an app that helps people understand law better and our support has been helping her business progress further in the form of connecting her with like-minded people abroad.”

In conclusion, Alberts said being nominated as a changemaker had lit a fire in her, to not only impact her, but also her community in Eldorado Park, and Soweto.
