The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg Schulbasar returned for the 115th time
Parktown embraced German culture at the 115th Schulbasar.
The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg hosted the much-anticipated 115th annual Schulbasar on May 31.

The ultimate German Experience returned, and the school grounds in Parktown were transformed into a vibrant hub of German culture, attracting crowds eager to indulge in a day filled with food, fun, and festivities.

The Schulbasar, often hailed as the biggest event on the Johannesburg calendar, did not disappoint.
Visitors were treated to a wide variety of beers and traditional foods such as bratwurst, schnitzel, and pretzels. Live performances on stage kept the energy high throughout the day, featuring local talent and traditional German music and dance.
A parent at the school, Dercia Josue said she appreciated that she could celebrate the day with her daughter, who was selling at the market and also enjoyed dressing up for the day.
