Planned water maintenance affects large areas

The levels at Parktown and Dunkeld reservoirs are critically low.

Rand Water’s planned maintenance scheduled for June 30 to July 2 is currently underway. This maintenance work is part of the water utility’s commitment to ensuring a sustainable and efficient water supply.

The levels at Parktown and Dunkeld reservoirs are critically low. The areas that are supplied by these reservoirs are experiencing low to no water supply.

The following suburbs are affected:

  • Westcliff,
  • Parkwood,
  • Forest Town,
  • Birdhaven,
  • Saxonwold,
  • Dunkeld West,
  • Hyde Park,
  • Melrose,
  • Illovo,
  • Parktown North,
  • Melrose North,
  • Riviera,
  • Killarney,
  • Parkview,
  • Oaklands,
  • Greenside,
  • Houghton Estate,
  • Abbotsford,
  • Dunkeld,
  • Dunkeld West,
  • Craighall Park,
  • Craighall
  •  Parkhurst, as well as
  • Part of Hyde Park, Illovo, and Rosebank.
