Nu Metro reaffirmed its commitment to innovation, unveiling premium experiences like 4DX, Scene Xtreme, VIP cinemas, and a first-in-Africa 270-degree panoramic screen launching this September. Despite challenges such as the pandemic, load-shedding, and streaming competition, the cinema chain has reached 80% of its pre-pandemic audience numbers and continues to grow through consistent blockbuster releases and strategic expansion.

Key discussions focused on adapting to changing audience behaviour, accessibility in a tough economy, and the value of loyalty programmes that reward families. Nu Metro also highlighted the importance of brand partnerships in enhancing the movie-going experience.

Bounce, one of the featured partners, presented its mission to create dynamic, inclusive, and safe play spaces for all ages, with new venues on the horizon and a dedicated cinema experience for younger audiences launching in 2026.
