Reinstatement coming for corner of Louis Botha Avenue and Corlett Drive

JRA will start the reinstatement on Louis Botha Avenue and Corlett Drive next month.

The excavation on Louis Botha Avenue and Corlett Drive may be fixed and backfilled, but the outstanding reinstatements are still a cause for concern for pedestrians and motorists who frequent the busy road.

Johannesburg Water’s (JW) spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala, on April 23, told the Gazette that the excavation was as a result of a pipe burst, which the team had attended to.

Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) confirmed to the Gazette, on July 24, that their team would begin reinstatements from next month. “A team will commence work on July 28, with the aim of completing both reinstatements by August 8.”
