Excitement and compassion filled the air in Parkwood this morning as Woodrock Animal Rescue welcomed supporters to the opening of its brand-new thrift store, a space where sustainable shopping meets a meaningful cause.

Hosted at Byron Thomas Properties’ Parkwood offices, the launch invited guests to sip, browse, and explore a thoughtfully curated selection of pre-loved fashion, homeware, books, and toys, all in support of animals in need.

For the Woodrock team, the opening marked a proud milestone. “We are incredibly excited that, in our drive to help rescues, we have expanded from a small container at the GardenShop in Parktown North to a beautiful new space around the corner in Parkwood,” said Craig Jacobs from Woodrock’s media team.

Guests were encouraged to join a fun, pre-loved styling challenge, with the chance to win a Clarins hamper, adding an extra sparkle to the morning. Friendly faces, vibrant displays, and a shared love for animals created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Woodrock is well known for its popular puppy pop-ups at Nine Yards, where countless dogs have found their forever homes. The new thrift store builds on that success, offering supporters another way to make a difference through everyday choices.
