Run director Kellyn Botha said, although the parkrun was fairly new, it was well received and the turnout was good. “The idea of the parkrun came about after I spoke to a mutual friend who also wanted to start a parkrun, because it is one way for people to stay fit while enjoying their mornings.”

Botha added that although new participants were always welcome, the parkrun would appreciate more volunteers to help make the parkrun a success.
