Criticism of Ravid unfounded

HIGHLANDS NORTH - I fail to comprehend any criticism of councillor Marcelle Ravid.

She has always gone the extra mile for residents in her ward.

I have known Marcelle for many years and was previously in her area, but we have since moved. That, however, did not stop her from readily coming to the rescue when there was a problem regarding a recurring power failure in our street and the disturbance of an ongoing generator.

I called her once and the next day she had contacted the powers-that-be. Result: Immediate service from the electricity department and no more noise or fumes from the generator.

This is a city councillor who takes her job seriously and always obliges with a smile, and friendly and efficient response. Long may she retain her seat.

In the last issue of one of the local newsletters, Thornhill Manor resident Ann Raats placed an advert looking for a water diviner to help find underground water at the Rand Aid Association retirement village in Lyndhurst.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
