I was in the store shopping for clothing for my son, when I noticed a very irritating ‘customer’ constantly ending up in my personal space. Her intentions only became obvious about ten minutes later, when I reached into my pocket for my phone, which was gone.
This ‘lady’ (I use the term with disgust) was obviously an expert at pick-pocketing, as I never felt a thing.
She also took advantage of the fact that I had my hands full. I then heard from a colleague that she had experienced a similar situation in the same store at Campus Square on 30 July. I feel it is my duty to warn customers of Campus Square of the gang that is targeting any and everyone.
The police were not interested when I reported the incident – instead, they made me feel like a criminal for wanting to report the crime! I therefore urge anyone who frequents any store at Campus Square to be aware of their surroundings and to make sure that they are not another target of this gang of women.
