Thank you Rand Aid Association’s Tarentaal Village

Maureen Henstock of Tarentaal Village writes:

This letter is written in appreciation of the kindness and effort the staff members of Rand Aid Association’s Tarentaal Village put into our lives.

They do their best to please us without any thanks. We must sit and reflect on the good things we, as residents of Tarentaal, have to enjoy. We have a beautiful environment and lovely gardens that are well kept. Even people unable to manage their own gardens can enjoy the flowers in neighbours’ gardens and along the road borders.

Rand Aid provides us with a place to live – but only we can turn it into a home. I know that I have been tremendously blessed to be able to get my little unit that I call home, and my little piece of garden to tend. The most precious part of my life here at Tarentaal is the friendship I have been shown by residents. When I feel down or lonely I take a walk and soon find a happy smile to lift me up.

We have a lovely chapel to enable us to worship.

We must look at the birds around us and remember that they sing because God gives them all they need.

We are also fortunate to have excellent security; when we enter our village we are safe. My children and grandchildren can feel peace knowing that I am cared for. In fact, my grandson says he feels like he is at a holiday resort when he visits.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
