Its all about hatred!

In response to the article, BDS movement continues, week ending 5 December, about the Woolworths AGM, both Marthie Momberg and Allan Horwitz are quoted, and both are known for their ‘love of Israel’.

But what both, together with Desai of the BDS movement, fail to answer is why they are concerned about only some and not all Palestinians, where over a million of these people who live in Arab countries are denied the basic human rights of freedom of movement, property rights, denied many professions and trades, and where health and education virtually is non existent.

These forgotten Palestinians are of no concern to these fair-minded folk!

It’s not about the Palestinians, its not about the occupation, it’s not about human rights abuses, it’s all about hatred!

If these good folk were sincerely concerned with human rights perhaps they might look a little closer to home where human rights abuses in Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan and others rate among the worst in the world, second only to the human rights abuses in the Arab world – Syria, Iraq, Libya and Iran.

What about China with their human rights record?

Why not boycott Chinese goods together with those from the Arab and Africa world?

It’s not about human rights! It’s all about hatred!

Perhaps if the reporter were to ask any Palestinian if he would rather stay put in Syria or Lebanon or move to the West Bank or better still Israel proper, guess what the answer would be?

Palestinians in the ‘occupied territories’ enjoy the highest level of education, healthcare and longevity in the entire Arab world.

Horwitz talks about flourishing in open societies. Indeed Palestinians living in ‘open society’ Israel flourish as doctors, scientists, lawyers, judges and every other fields of human endeavor. Name one Arab country that has an open society where all its people enjoy and flourish as the Arabs in Israel do?

It’s all about hatred!!
