Alexandra amongst areas affected by electricity outage after Sebenza substation trips
JOBURG – The outage took place at approximately 10.50am.
City Power has alerted the residents of Alexandra, Houghton, Killarney, Bramley and others serviced by the Sebenza substation that there is currently a power outage.
The outage took place at about 10.50am. This is said to be due to a device that had tripped.
Following areas are affected also;
Orange grove
Norwood
Greenstone
Orchards

City power said technicians were currently working on restoring power to the affected parts of Johannesburg.
“Unfortunately we do not have an ETR at the moment but further information will be communicated in due course on our Twitter page,” Isaac Mangena said in a statement.
City Power apologised for the inconvenience that this outage had caused.
