Exciting fire brigade visit at Triple Toes Primary

The visit was an insightful session for the learners as safety remains one of the schools' top priorities.

Triple Toes Primary School received an entertaining and educational visit from the City of Johannesburg Fire Brigade and EMS Department.

The team from Turffontein spent the morning of April 11 educating the learners on fire safety.

A presentation led by EMS public information education and relations officer Marie Malatjie educated the learners on how to prevent fires, safety precautions and the role of firefighters.

Veronica Hlabangwane, Milton Mphahlele, Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame, Margaret Sebeta and Marie Malatjie.

Learners were intrigued and participated in the educational songs about fires, joyfully reciting the emergency numbers and volunteering during the stop, drop and roll demonstration.

Additionally, Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame joined the visit and gifted the learners with party packs filled with tasty treats for them to enjoy after the educational session.

Learners appreciate the party packs they received.

The principal, Brenda Dludlu, said: “We are grateful and indebted to Chane and the staff from Johannesburg EMS for their presence and the wonderful gesture.

“Their support and partnership are unwavering, and it does not go unnoticed. Our learners learned a lot and cannot wait for their follow-up visit. Our safety and their safety is our priority, especially during this silly fire-prone season.”
