Criminals convicted in Mondeor
A report on successful convictions in crime cases has been released by the Mondeor SAPS.

MONDEOR – Convictions on cases that have been ongoing since last year, such as housebreaking, house robbery and murder, have been achieved successfully by the Mondeor SAPS.
A case of housebreaking and theft reported to the police on June 16 last year that occurred in Soetdoring Street, Bassonia, has reached a successful conclusion. The case was assigned to Sgt Olifant for further investigations. On February 11 the suspect involved in the incident was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.
Another case of housebreaking and theft that occurred on Denton Street in Ridgeway on September 10 in 2012 was opened at Mondeor Police Station. The docket was assigned to Constable Thwala for investigation. A successful conclusion was reached on February 14, when the suspect involved was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the Johannesburg Magistrates Court.
On August 24 last year a person was stabbed to death at the Eikenhof Informal Settlement and a case of murder was opened with the Mondeor SAPS. The case was assigned to Warrant Officer Zwane. On February 11 the 31-year-old suspect was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment by the Johannesburg Regional Court.
