Fifteen people injured in taxi collision

NATURENA – One adult and 14 children were injured when a taxi collided with a light motor vehicle and a truck on Jan de Necker Avenue, Naturena on Friday afternoon March 14.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi and truck on the side of the road. Upon their assessment, paramedics discovered 15 people were injured, 14 of those being children, their injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Paramedics immediately started their treatment, immobilising five of the children on spine boards before promptly transporting them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Bystanders on scene stated that the taxi had apparently tried to skip traffic on the sidewalk before colliding with a light motor vehicle and truck.
