Substation vandalised in Glenvista Ext 4

A substation (number 220) was vandalised on Monday afternoon September 22 in Vallot Street, Glenvista ext 4.

GLENVISTA – The suspect/s  broke the padlock on the substation door, enabling entry to the substation. The copper wiring and cable was cut. Glenvista ext 4 residents’ electricity went off at 17:10.

Glenvista 5 Resident’s Association’s, Nuno Dias was in the area just after it had happened and informed the association’s Sarah Wissler, who reported the vandalised substation to City Power.

Power was reinstalled at about 21:30 the same evening.
