NFP shocked by untimely death of Mthimkhulu

The NFP has described the passing-on of Mthimkhulu as a huge loss.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – The National Freedom Party (NFP) has learnt with profound and great shock of the untimely death of former KwaZulu-Natal Deputy Speaker and MEC for Agriculture and Environmental Affairs, Mtholephi Mthimkhulu.

NFP Secretary-General and National Spokesman, Prof. Nhlanhla Khubisa, spoke to the media and said: “I am utterly shocked and at a loss for words as I worked well with him when I was the member of KwaZulu-Natal Legislature. At the time he was just an ordinary member of the Legislature.

“He was such a kind person who always made every member of the Legislature feel welcome and at ease. I have fond memories of this servant of the people and dedicated leader who was very passionate about his work. Mthimkhulu’s death is indeed a huge loss.

“It is with grief, on behalf of the President of our Party, the Honourable Zanele KaMagwaza-Msibi, and the entire leadership of NFP, that I convey our deepest condolences to his family, the ANC and the people of KwaZulu-Natal.

“We share your loss as Mthimkhulu served with distinction in all the public portfolios he held and played a critical role in the betterment of the lives of the people of the province and South Africa, especially the previously disadvantaged.”
