CAT members learn how fast a crime can happen

On Tuesday April 14 Community Awareness Training (CAT) took place at New South Veterinary Clinic in Glenvista, where a mock armed robbery exercise was staged.

GLENVISTA – Members of CAT were “held up” in the mock armed robbery and learned just how quickly this can happen. After the “armed robbers” left the scene, an alarm was raised and when the armed response company, D&D Tactical arrived on scene the domestics were asked by security officers for information which could result in the arrest of the criminals. They were able to give identification of the robbers and what the getaway vehicle looked like, make, colour, registration, etc.

“It went off really well and it was a good exercise, showing the members how fast this can actually happen,” said Sarah Wissler, coordinator of CAT.

“We’d like to thank D&D tactical for “robbing” us! It truly felt real to all of us and I’m very proud of the group,” added Sarah.
