Conversation with a stranger: A security guard

Sakhile Mchunu is a security guard at a shopping centre and was willing to share his story with us.

THE 36-year-old husband and father of three has been a permanent night security guard at a local shopping centre for two years now.

The hardworking and diligent employee was born and raised in Soweto. He completed primary school and only completed Grade Nine in high school. Since leaving school Sakhile has been working. Although he does not want to be a security guard forever, he appreciates his permanent post and his passion is to work.

The active father also enjoys gym, exercising, running and soccer. He eventually plans on getting a licence and owning a car one day. Sakhile is able to do any job such as cutting grass, painting, tiling, plumbing etc. If you would like to get in touch, then call him on 079 671 6075. Thank you for sharing your story with the CHRONICLE, Sakhile.
