An organisation to support women’s solidarity
Women need to work together to achieve greatness.
WOMAN@WORK, a ladies community network which operates in Johannesburg South and the Alberton area is celebrating 10 years of serving and promoting female excellence.
Founder of the organisation, Toni Mackrell, said she was proud to have opened the initiative to serve hundreds of women across the community.
“My main goal for starting Woman@work was to encourage ladies to network and to inspire them to make a difference by using their talents, gifts and abilities, not just in business or at work, but also in their everyday lives and for their community,” she said.
Over the past 10 years, she has hosted many Woman@work Events and met hundreds of wonderful ladies that are striving to reach their potential (success), find balance in a busy and competitive world (survival) and looking to find their purpose in life (significance).
“As women, we work every day at family relationships, work relationships, in our businesses or at our jobs, and many times we feel overwhelmed by our role as women in a busy working world,” she added.
Toni started the organisation in a bid to encourage ladies in the community to work together through networking and supporting one another.
She believes together women can make a difference in the lives of others, through their work and doing good for others as Eleanor Roosevelt said: “Alone we are a drop, together we are an ocean.”
Woman@work hosts ‘Be inspired’ Ladies Networking Events in the Jhb South and Alberton area, where women have the opportunity to gain inspiration and motivation from our guest speakers and life coaches, enjoy a meal, support a charity, be part of a lucky draw and shop in our shopping area.
The organisation also encourages ladies to use their talents, gifts and abilities to ‘Make a Difference’ by supporting charities, non-profit organisations and social causes.
All women are welcome to promote themselves, their products, services and businesses at the ‘Be inspired’ events.
