Dangerous pothole in Rosettenville

Julio Carrancho, a resident said there was a water leak at that point, which was badly repaired a few times, and the last time the pipe was pushed down the ground to avoid being damaged by cars.

A ROSETTENVILLE resident feels the dangerous hole at a corner of Lawn and Petunia streets in Rosettenville is a clear case of negligence.

Julio Carrancho said there was a water leak at that point, which was badly repaired a few times, and the last time the pipe was pushed down the ground to avoid it being damaged by cars.

“It is now not leaking but the hole has been left uncovered for several weeks. Not acceptable, since it can cause somebody serious hurt (motorbike or bicycle riders) and cars could knock it and have their suspension damaged or broken.

“There is another similar hole at the beginning of the same street – corner of Lawn and Geranium streets, some 200 metres from this one – that has been there for months,” he said.
